Lalbagh Botanical gardens :
Established by the Golconda sultans, Haider Ali & Tipu, the garden contains a collection of rare botanical treasures, including rare plant species & some tree specimens which are hundreds of years old. It also hosts gala flower displays on the weeks preceding the Independence Day & the Republic Day.

Fort & Tipu Sultan’s Palace :
The oldest foundations to the fort can be traced back to the 16th century. Under the rule of Haider Ali & Tipu Sultan, the fort became a formidable bastion; however it was sacked & badly damaged during the wars of conquest by the British. Tipu Sultan's palace has certain historic memorabilia & modest architectural grandeur.

Bull Temple:
This ancient 16th century temple is situated on the picturesque Bugle Hill & showcases the beautiful Dravidian architectural style. It derives its name from the huge granite statue of Nandi, Lord Siva's bull. Evenings can be lively as the atmospherics are filled with performances by temple musicians & artists.

Nrityagram:
A unique attraction for any cultural enthusiast, Nrityagram was established as a University for the study of elegant Indian dance forms. The study involves not just its performance but also understanding its nuances of choreography as well as musical, philosophical & mythological connotations.

Nandi Hill: : Nandi Hill is another bastion of Tipu Sultan as also his summer retreat. It presents a grand panorama of the surrounding countryside & also has two ancient Chola temples in its vicinity.
